We are constantly and consistently bombarded with distractions, it's easy to lose sight of something so fundamental to our humanity: the power of connection. We live in a time where a text can replace a conversation, a like can replace a smile, and real moments of presence can feel increasingly rare. But here's the thing—we need each other. On a deep, primal level, we are wired for connection, and that connection can change everything.
I’ve spent years working with energy, feeling how subtle shifts in attention and intention can open up whole new worlds for people. Whether it’s through space clearing, reiki, or a deep conversation, I’ve seen that when we truly show up for someone, something incredible happens. And it’s not just woo-woo talk—science backs this up. Our brains and bodies are designed to respond to connection. In fact, human interaction shapes our schemas—those mental maps that guide how we see the world.
When we’re met with kindness and care, our whole internal landscape shifts. We begin to trust, to open up, to expect more of those positive experiences. But when we’re neglected, dismissed, or unseen, we retreat, and those negative experiences can shape how we move through life. The truth is, the smallest moment of attention can alter someone’s course, steering them toward a brighter path.
The Power of Presence: Marina Abramović’s Experiment
A perfect example of how profound this can be is Marina Abramović’s iconic performance The Artist is Present. For nearly three months, Abramović sat at a table in the MoMA, completely still, while anyone could sit across from her. No words. No distractions. Just a quiet, unbroken gaze into the eyes of a stranger.
And something magical happened. People wept. People laughed. They felt emotions rise to the surface that had been buried for years. Why? Because for perhaps the first time in a long while, they were being fully seen. Marina’s unwavering presence offered them something that’s so rare in our busy, fragmented world—pure, undivided attention.
What struck me most about this experiment wasn’t just the impact on the participants, but how much it changed Marina herself. She described feeling the emotional weight of everyone who sat across from her, carrying that collective energy with her long after the performance ended. It was a powerful reminder that when we open ourselves up to truly seeing and being seen, we connect on a deeper, almost spiritual level. (Video Below)
Why Presence Matters More Than Ever
In today’s world, giving someone your full attention can feel like a radical act. We’ve been trained to multitask, to glance at our phones during dinner, to half-listen to conversations. But here’s the truth: the moments when we stop, breathe, and fully engage with someone are the moments that matter most. They are the moments that heal, uplift, and transform.
Think about a time when someone gave you their undivided attention. Maybe it was a friend who listened as you poured out your heart, or a stranger who smiled at you in a moment when you needed it most. Those moments stay with us because they speak to something fundamental in our nature. We need to feel seen.
We live in a society where loneliness is an epidemic, even though we’re more "connected" than ever. But connection isn’t about likes or shares; it’s about presence. It’s about the energy we bring to each interaction, and the way we make others feel in our presence.
Awakening to Our True Potential
I genuinely believe we are on the verge of something incredible—an awakening to who we really are as human beings. For far too long, we’ve been fed the idea that we’re separate, that we have to compete for resources, for attention, for love. But this couldn’t be further from the truth. We are connected—in ways that science is just beginning to uncover.
Quantum physics tells us that everything is energy, that we are all vibrating on a frequency, influencing and being influenced by everything around us. When we give someone our attention, we are literally tuning into their energy and sending out waves of our own. That’s why even a simple act of presence can be so powerful. It creates a ripple effect, touching the lives of others in ways we can’t always predict.
Choosing Connection, Changing Lives
We may not be able to change the world overnight, but we can change lives—one moment of connection at a time. When we stop and really see someone, we validate their existence. We remind them that they matter. And in doing so, we remind ourselves of our own value.
This is the heart of what I do as an energy healer, as a spiritual coach, and even just as a human being navigating this wild journey we call life. I’ve learned that attention is one of the most powerful forms of love we can give. It’s a healing force, a balm for the soul. And it’s available to all of us, at any time.
So let’s start choosing connection. Let’s put down the distractions, look each other in the eyes, and be there. You never know what kind of transformation you might spark—in yourself or someone else. And maybe, just maybe, that’s how we continue to change the world.

With love, from someone who believes deeply in the beauty and power of human connection.
